The checklists are split into two sections - one for the general collector, for those who collect just the stamps and follow major catalogues such as Stanley Gibbons, Scott and Michel; and one for the specialised collector, which includes additional items such as gutter strips, sheets, blocks and strips, booklet panes, booklets, stationery and limited edition items.

The cost of each item is given, along with a total for each section. In some cases the stamps are only available from self-adhesive booklets (sold at face value), or from prestige booklets, souvenir sheets or folders (sold above face value).
