Following a visit to Australia by President Lee Myung-bak in March 2009, 2011 has been declared a Year of Friendship between Australia and South Korea, and marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

This issue was produced in small sheets of 10 stamps (5 x 2). For the first time Australia Post will include a QR Code which links to a video on the Australia Post website. The sheet is only sold in a presentation pack for $6.45, the usual mark for a presentation pack.

Self-adhesive Booklets
Although not rouletted, the booklets could be folded in half without damage to the stamps. Booklets were distributed to post offices in chequebooks of 20 booklets. These are not listed on this website.
