The National Service Memorial stamp issue marks the dedication of the National Service Memorial at the War Memorial, Canberra. The memorial will be dedicated on 8 September by the Govenor-General, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC, and commemorates the 290,000 young men called up for National Service between 1951 and 1972.

Issue Information
The single 60c stamp will be issued in gummed sheets of 10 and self-adhesive booklets of 10.
